This sketch was done on the suggestion of my good friend, Jim Bowers, who was involved with the recent "Superman the Movie" rerelease on DVD. Jim had the good fortune to be involved as a consultant on that project due to his vast knowledge of the Superman movies and his enormous collection of photos from the films as well.
He thought it would be fun if I and fellow artist Kris Meadows did some concept sketches for a possible new movie poster and/or DVD cover art.
This was my first idea and I think it captures the essential elements from the first film pretty well, although I would also add Lex Luthor to the design somewhere.
