"Golden Age Round Canvas"

This was a piece I did recently after I became interested in seeing what various comic book images would look like blown up on canvas.

I took one of the earliest advertisements for Superman, drawn by Joe Shuster, and transferred it to a 20" round canvas. I then reproduced it as carefully as I could, line for line.

I wound up selling it at auction at the annual Superman Celebration in Metropolis, Illinois last year.
